About the Blog

Here at CCC, we believe that the ministry of the Word does not end with preaching and teaching but reaches into the nitty gritty of life. We have a personal God who sacrificed everything to have a personal relationship with us. He has come to redeem and transform lives, families, and communities. In that light, we want to be a church that cares for every aspect of life. Our hope is to develop personal relationships with each other, and in the context of that relationship point to the rich and compassionate way God is working in our lives.
The values that shape our counseling are outlined below:
Scripture is sufficient
All life is under God, and he cares for us far more than we could care about anyone, even ourselves. The main way God shows us his love is through Scripture. Therefore, Scripture speaks about all things even if they are not explicitly stated. As we walk together, the details of our lives come into focus, and we see that they are not isolated events. They are part of the larger story of our lives, which are not simply scattered fragments but pieces of the larger story of God.  Not only does Scripture speak to every issue in our lives, but it offers hope for us, found only in Jesus Christ.
Our Counselors
We are all broken people, in need of a Savior. Therefore, our counseling is relational. Our role is not to “fix” but to share the same hope that we have been given. Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, has spoken into our lives, and it is only by his completed work that change is possible.  As we go through life together, our hope is that God Himself will meet you in the midst of your struggle. We aim to explore together the way Christ addresses us wholly – the way we think, feel, speak, act, and relate to others. We are simply counselors who point you to the Greater Counselor.
Community
God has not left us to face this world alone. God himself has promised to be with us, but he has also provided the church, the body of Christ, to be his hands and feet in this world. Our counseling is not only a single, private relationship. Here at CCC, we have a whole community behind us. We see our community as family, because we are all adopted by the same Father. As a family we share all aspects of life with one another, the good and bad, integrating the teaching from the pulpit and bible studies into our daily lives. Counseling, like our lives, is not enclosed in a vacuum. We are made for community, to strive side by side for the sake of the gospel, as we await our future hope in Christ’s return.
